Education

Dr. Cynthia T. McMurray is a senior scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory in Berkeley CA. She holds a primary appointment in the Division of Molecular Biophysics and integrated imaging. She received her PhD in biophysics (1987) under National academy members Kensal van Holde, followed by postdoctoral training at the Vollum Institute of Neurobiology with Edward Herbert and Richard Goodman, both members of the National Academy of Science. She joined the faculty of the Mayo Clinic and was promoted to full professor in 2000.
