Medical degree: Faculty of Medicine, University of Sao Paulo (1989); MPhil (1985) at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Sao Paulo; Reseaech Fellowship: Section of Old Age Psychiatry, University of London, UK (1996-7); PhD (2000) and Full Professorship (2010) at Department of Psychiatry, University of Sao Paulo: Areas of research and clinical expertise: Geriatric Psychiatry (dementia, Alzheimer's disease, delirium, depression and bipolar disorder in the elderly) and Neuroscience (molecular biology, in vitro models, biomarkers, translational research). Current position: Associate Professor at the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine, University of Sao Paulo.
