Immunogen/Epitope
Epitope maps to residues 1-4 of human Aβ42 and Aβ40 (DAEF)
Specificity
Reacts with the N-terminal end of Aβ (amino acids 1-4). Appears to detect monomeric, oligomeric, and fibrillar forms of Aβ. Greater sensitivity for Aβ42 than Aβ40. Does not cross react with holo-APP or APP-CTFs.
Note
Originally generated by Mary Jo LaDu and colleagues at the University of Illinois.
This antibody is available in a variety of formats, including conjugated to biotin, HRP, FITC, and other fluorophores.
