Parkinson's Disease vs Alzheimer's Disease: neurogranin (CSF)
In our meta-analysis of four studies, the levels of neurogranin in the cerebrospinal fluid of people with Parkinson's disease were found to be half those of people with Alzheimer's disease (effect size = 0.54, p <0.0001). For comparison, CSF neurogranin in control subjects is approximately 60 percent that of people with Alzheimer's disease.
